Challenge

The fleet industry knows the unforeseen hurdles of the pandemic and its residual effects all too well. Two Element clients experienced differing impacts: 

  • One client needed to downsize their fleet, but had several new units ordered and at the upfitter that could not be cancelled. 

  • The second client, with essential business needs, placed factory orders that did not go through due to unexpected OEM cut-offs, and faced with placing more expensive stock orders.

Solution

Through financial impact analysis, Element’s Strategic Consulting experts identified opportunities to reassign nine vehicles from client one to client two and coordinate required upfitting changes while client two worked directly with the OEM to secure incentives not previously approved.
