According to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), 70% of the nation's roads are in snowy regions, with 24% of weather-related accidents occurring on snowy, slushy or icy pavement. Winter affects a large portion of the country, and a large percentage of vehicle accidents occur because of it. In fact, last week, Colorado received around 24 inches of snow, and much of the U.S. and Canada were under severe winter warnings. Highways closed and vehicles were stuck on the road.
